ABOUT THE GAME

LAST SECOND is a free, fast-paced neon survival arcade game that runs right in your browser — no download, no account, no install. You pilot a glowing orb through a dark arena filled with chasers, lasers, moving walls and traps, trying to survive as long as possible for the highest score.

Every 30 seconds, the LAST SECOND event hits: for six seconds everything becomes extremely fast and dangerous. Survive it and you earn a huge score bonus and rare rewards.

SURVIVE → COLLECT → UPGRADE → TAKE RISKS → DIE → BEAT YOUR HIGH SCORE → PLAY AGAIN.

Collect ◈ fragments to raise your score and spend them on the upgrade board that appears every 2 waves. Chain near misses for combo multipliers, gamble on risky plays for bigger rewards, and unlock cosmetic orb skins that change how you look — never how you play.

• An endless arena with no walls — fly in any direction forever and the camera follows you.

• Four enemy types with distinct shapes and behaviours: chasers, orbiters, drifters and shooter turrets.
• Red laser bars and purple moving walls that force you to keep repositioning.
• Five random events: Blackout, Gold Rush, Gravity Well, Time Freeze and Chaos.
• A boss every 2.5 minutes that locks the arena — only dashing through it deals damage.
• A daily challenge with a fresh modifier every day, the same for everyone.
• 12 unlockable orb skins, each with its own hand-drawn neon design.
• A roguelike upgrade board every 2 waves — every run builds differently.
• Power-up capsules: Electro Surge, Cryo Field, Pulse Nova and Auto Barrage.

LAST SECOND is built around readable danger. Every enemy has a distinct silhouette, every attack is telegraphed, and the scoring system rewards courage: skimming past a laser or a chaser earns near-miss bonuses and fills your Overdrive meter, so the best players deliberately play close to death. Clutch escapes trigger slow motion, giving you a split second to turn a mistake into a highlight.

Between runs, signed-in players bank fragments, unlock cosmetic skins and buy single-run loadouts — but nothing you can buy makes you stronger than a new player in a way that can't be matched by skill. Cosmetics are purely visual, and the leaderboards rank only what happened inside the arena.

The game runs on any modern browser, on desktop and on mobile. On desktop you move with WASD or the arrow keys (or switch to cursor-follow mode with P), dash with Space and fire with SHIFT. On phones and tablets you drag anywhere on the screen or use the on-screen thumbstick, with dedicated DASH, FIRE and POWER buttons. Your records sync across devices when you sign in.
